‘Frogfest’, the town centre’s annual celebration of music and entertainment is bringing family-fun to High Wycombe for a bumper Bank Holiday Weekend, on Sunday 1st May

High Wycombe town centre will be alive with music this May bank holiday weekend, as the annual ‘FrogFest’ returns for its 9th year on Sunday 1st May – back to its original BIG one-day format, with TWO stages, TWENTY bands and FOOD TRUCKS galore, taking place throughout the High Street, Church Street & Frogmoor ALL DAY, from 12noon – 9pm.

Designed as the ultimate family-friendly festival, ‘Frogfest 2022’ will be bursting with fun, with FREE street entertainment & crazy circus workshops, as well as children’s rides, face painting & glitter art – there’ll even be a FREE Land Train to transport you around the town.

Foodies will be in their element with 15+ Food Trucks spread throughout the event, as well as this this year’s NEW ‘Frogmoor Food Village’ pop-up, offering gourmet treats including GIANT Paella, deep-fried Mac & Cheese Balls, fresh Crepes & Brownies, spicy Jamaican jerk chicken, smoked BBQ brisket & pulled pork and more. Mad Squirrel will also be bringing along their Craft Beer Truck, plus there’ll be artisan cider, and cocktails pop-ups too.

Boutique craft & gifts stalls will also be on-hand for some bank holiday shopping, plus Wycombe Library, Wycombe Food Hub, Wycombe MIND & Wycombe Youth Action will each be hosting stalls, games & entertainment for everyone to enjoy.

BUT, the music is the real MAIN EVENT… with over TWENTY local acts on our Frogmoor Main Stage and High Street Stage, boasting an eclectic family-friendly line-up of every musical genre, from Indie, Jazz, Pop and Folk to Bhangra, Ska and Rock – there’ll be something for EVERYONE to enjoy.

Wycombe music fans will recognise some of the biggest local names, including headliners ‘These Certain People’, the popular ‘Maz Manzini’ & his new group ‘San Demas’, as well as ‘Weird Auntie’, fresh from winning Bucks Music’s ‘Battle of the Bands’. Not forgetting WWFC’s Gareth Ainsworth, who’ll be performing as part of The Pauly Zarb Experience.

Chief Executive of HWBidCo, Melanie Williams – organisers of High Wycombe’s annual ‘Frogfest’ –  is pleased to see a return of the popular event.“ We’re so excited for Frogfest 2022 – it’s great to be bringing the event back for another year, especially in its BIG one-day format. We have some amazing bands lined up to play and the ‘Frogmoor Food Village’ will be a great new addition to the event. There’ll be so much going on throughout the day, it really is going to be non-stop fun for all the family, and for us too – we love celebrating our town centre & look forward to welcoming lots of visitors – the best thing about it is it’s FREE to attend. Grab your glitter & we’ll see you by the stage!”
