Fisheye Film Festival, which began in High Wycombe in 2015, aims to “bring the world of films to our screens” by hosting an international film competition, as well as showing films that are less likely to be seen at your local mainstream cinema. This year’s festival will go ahead with an updated format to reflect current Covid-19 guidelines. The festival will take place in two halves, beginning with a 10 day online International Film Competition between Friday 23 April – Sunday 2 May.
The virtual line-up features short film competition showcases, feature film screenings, Q&As, industry workshops and an online awards night. Screenings and most events are open to the public, giving audiences a fantastic opportunity to discover a new world of films from up-and-coming filmmakers. Competition film content can push boundaries and is likely to be more suited to mature audiences.
Tickets are currently available and range in price from £2 – £18, with Festival Passes available from £15 – allowing affordable access to all events taking place this Spring.
The wider festival programme is then planned to continue in the Autumn, with the aim to host in-person events and film screenings when restrictions are safely lifted.
