High Wycombe’s biggest street party returns on Saturday 8th July!!!

for the return of Desborough Carnival. The popular FREE event is a celebration of music and culture and showcases the very best local performers, musicians, artists.
Hosted in conjunction with WhizzFizzFest the fun starts at 11am in Desborough Road with live music, street entertainment and creative classes up until 4pm.
Accessibility Statement for Desborough Carnival
Desborough Carnival is a FREE community event that welcomes families of all ages and abilities. The event space is wheelchair friendly and the music and entertainment is suitable and inclusive for all.
- Our event staff are trained and encouraged to support the needs of all visitors
- Signage is clearly displayed detailing all the performances times and activities taking place, so that you can plan your visit and avoid times of high noise and stimulation, if necessary.
- Seating is available should a quiet, seated space be required.
- Games and crafts provided are suitable for all and can be adapted if not to suit.
- The My Wycombe gazebo will be able to provide the information and support you need.
- Event staff will be dressed in pink High vis vests and are to help with anything.
- Desborough Carnival takes place along Desborough Road in High Wycombe. The event space is all concrete, road and pavement.
- It is all ground level, with the exception of kerbs. Entry into the Wycombe Arts Centre and Kings Church is wheelchair friendly.
Please note:
- A host and DJ will be playing music throughout the event. This will be loud and continuous.
- This event can get busy, please expect high volumes of people in close proximity.
- The nearest car park is Desborough Road and Aldi
- An accessible toilet will be available within the Wycombe Arts Centre and Kings Church
- Seating is limited. Some occasional seating will be available within the event space and at Wycombe Arts Centre and Kings Church
- This event can get very busy, please expect some queues at the major activities. For the busiest parts, queues will be marked out so you know where to wait.
- There will be entertainment performances and music playing throughout the event using sound equipment – this may be loud.
- There will be a rotation of entertainment performances continuously throughout the event which could be overwhelming at times.
- Costumed characters will be roaming the event at different intervals throughout the event
