On Saturday 23rd May 2026, the town’s annual Mayor Making ceremony will take place in the High Street. Then on Sunday 24th May 2026, FrogFest returns with two live music stages and a packed programme of family friendly fun.

Saturday 23rd May – Mayor Making
The weekend begins with High Wycombe’s annual Mayor Making ceremony in the High Street.
As part of the event, the town’s historic “Weighing In” tradition will take place. Dating back to 1678, it sees the newly elected Mayor ceremonially weighed in front of the town. High Wycombe is the only place in the UK that still carries on this long standing custom.
Market and community stalls will also be in town throughout the day, so whether you are coming to watch the ceremony or simply enjoying a Saturday in the High Street, there will be plenty happening around you.

Sunday 24th May – FrogFest Returns
On Sunday, the focus shifts from ceremony to celebration as FrogFest 2026 takes over the High Street.
This year’s event will feature the usual mix of live music, great food and street entertainment. The stage line up will be announced closer to the time, but you can expect a lively mix of local talent and feel good music throughout the day.
Alongside the music, FrogFest will once again include many of its much loved favourites:
Free kids workshops
Face painting
Street entertainment
A wide range of street food stalls
Market and community stalls
Best of all, it’s free to attend and open to everyone, making it a great choice for families and anyone looking to make the most of the bank holiday weekend.
A Weekend to Visit the Town Centre
With Mayor Making on the Saturday and FrogFest on the Sunday, the High Street will be busy across the entire weekend.
From historic tradition to live music, from community stalls to street food, there will be plenty of reasons to head into High Wycombe for the bank holiday weekend.
