Business Spotlight: Art-K

On a recent visit with Art Club Manager and Teacher, Sanchitha from High Wycombe’s ‘Art-K’ we chatted caught up about 

 I love being part of this vibrant, artistic community. What makes being here so special is the sense of connection with local families.

Could you tell us a little bit about your business for those who don’t know?

For those who don’t know, art-K is an Ofsted registered afterschool art club in High Wycombe, part of a wider national network of art clubs. At art-K, we offer a space where creativity thrives, welcoming children, teens, and adults to explore various forms of art, from painting to sculpture. Our aim is to inspire confidence in art through structured, fun, and engaging sessions.
As someone who has had the pleasure of working with art-K in High Wycombe, I love being part of this vibrant, artistic community. What makes being here so special is the sense of connection with local families. The joy of seeing a student develop their artistic skills and watching their creativity blossom is truly rewarding. Being situated in the heart of town, next to the post office on Castle Street, means we’re easily accessible and can contribute to the creative spirit of High Wycombe.

What other local ‘hidden gems’ would you recommend to any town centre visitors?

If you’re visiting the town centre, make sure to check out the local handcrafted shops and cafés around Castle Street and beyond. For those with an interest in good food, our collaboration with Wagamama for a unique cooking class event in November will be a treat! High Wycombe also has great hidden gems like the Chiltern Hills—a beautiful spot for outdoor enthusiasts—and independent boutiques that are perfect for discovering unique gifts.

Any exciting upcoming plans/events or offers?

We’re always planning fun, creative workshops for our students! We currently have exciting new classes, and there will be seasonal workshops where both kids and adults can get involved in festive arts and crafts. Plus, we offer after-school clubs that allow students to develop their skills further. Keep an eye out for special holiday workshops and term-time programs that cater to various age groups. Also, you can now plan art parties with us.
